Nothing New To Say

I think I'm just burned out. Take the illegal alien rallies yesterday. I just haven't posted because I don't have anything new to say on a subject I've been flogging for 15 years now. I feel like anything else I post about it is just repeating myself till I'm blue in the face. Sometimes, you just get tired of being angry, ya know?

About the only new thing I can add is that it does seem to be getting the hackles up of people who normally aren't very, well, 'political' I guess. Let's use some of my coworkers as an example who have decided a little reverse boycotting is in order. There's a restaurant down the street, the Monterey Fish House, that was closed yesterday. We're not going to go there anymore. Let's try a day without the money and labour us legal types and see how they like it then.

Well said. Do you think they will get their hackles up enough to actually do something, like call or write their Representative? And, even if they do with those people listen? Seems they have already made up their mind - Amnesty it is, and when the next bunch comes in because they see we have no backbone, we will have to do it again. (Oops, sorry, this is again, 1986 was suppose to be the lset wasn't it?)

Illegal Aliens have no "right" to demand anything from our government and elected officials. The fact they are doing it with impunity, along with the businesses who hire them, and that OUR elected officials appear to be "listening" to this stuff just means it is time to vote OUR representatives out. Maybe our signs should read VOTE NOW, MARCH LATER!!
