Who Are They Kidding?

Europe: beacon of all that is good and right in the world. Yeeesh! Not bloody likely! Next time some misguided soul tries to extoll the virtues of European culture over ours, make them read this. Of course, the sad thing is, they probably won't understand your point.

Is France a country in Europe? I thought it was part of Germany!

Only sometimes, EZ. Right now, however, given Germany's obsessively guilt-driven politics, it's actually more fair to call Germany a part of France, just like the rest of the EU to a greater or lesser extent.

Hi Ith,

Europe is a beacon of light (only if the light is coming from a lighthouse and it's position is meant to warn us about the dangers of following that route).
At best, the European countries have been models of what not to do as organized nation states.
