I found this article linked over on The Corner yesterday: Brilliant men always betray their wives
I found it fascinating, not to mention timely, since we were discussing something similar while waiting in line for Dead Man's Chest on Saturday.

What about those of us who don't have wives?
Hmm. Maybe we aren't so brilliant to begin with.

Posted by: Ith at July 14, 2006 4:22 PMI was brilliant enough to find a wife who understands the merits of an open relationship, and brilliant enough never to abuse that understanding.

I hate articles like this that reduce men to animals who cant choose fidelity over their base nature. There is always a choice.
ALso the title of the article gets me."Brilliant men always betray their wives."
Really? Always? In all of history there has never been one single brilliant man who hasnt cheated on his wife? Please! Talk about hyperbole!
Infidelity is devastating to families and is felt for generations. WHile these "brilliant" men may have gotten an extra portion of intelligence, they are deficient in character.
