So I've been reading around that there was a con recently with footage
shown from the new Highlander movie
A couple of things...
I didn't realize so many fans loved the last movie. And boy, are they
excited about this one! I barely remember the last movie, and apparently,
the new one requires some familiarity with it.
Since all the HL fans I seem to run into online and in RL seemed to really
dislike the last movie, and aren't too excited about this one, I wonder if
there's two segments of the fandom? Which one is more dominant, I wonder? And what's the makeup? I mean, are the intense, "I loved the movie" fans young guys? The ones the HL PTBs are always saying they're aiming for? Older, female fans need not apply, and all that :)
I really am going to reserve judgment on the new movie, because I'm hoping it will be good. But nothing can convince me the last movie was any better than the sequels preceding it [shrug] However, with all the Methos content that's apprently in this one, I can be appeased somewhat!

Haven't heard anything about the new movie. Did not like Endgame - it seemed to have a hard time deciding what type of movie it wanted to be (general karate, action, suspension, etc.). The beginning was very confusing and it broke a lot of cannon. Not enough Methos. Will withhold judgement on this as well.
