My little mouse buddy is back. I guess I should have taken him farther away from home.

he must like you
Posted by: caltechgirl at March 1, 2006 5:00 PMI started to warn you that he would be back. You need to move him a long way away or kill him to be rid of him.
Posted by: Daniel Upton at March 1, 2006 6:25 PMSure, mice are cute -- think "Sniffles."
Cute, that is, until the words "fleas" and "hemmoragic fever" make an appearance. :-(
Posted by: Russ at March 1, 2006 10:55 PMI seem to recall reading somewhere that they need to be transported a minimum of 3km from their present residence, otherwise they will find their way back.
Or maybe that's squirrels.
Either way if you were able to drag it away, say 5-7km, that's probably far enough away to convince him to stay in his new territory.
Posted by: Chris Taylor at March 2, 2006 3:15 PMNormally I release them farther away, but I was alone in the office that morning, so I decided to just let him out in the yard.
Posted by: Ith at March 2, 2006 3:22 PMThe mouse knew you were having a bad week and wanted to keep you company. :-)

And of course you made sure that he (the mouse) is wearing a cute little sweater-vest thing in hopes of Mr Little (HL) appearing.
Sorry, I'm a little punchy from too many hours working in "non-disclosed location." No, I haven't seen Dick Cheney.
