Cus I need answers :)

A few details I need for the Grey's/Methos fic I'm working on, and hoping one of my fine readers will know. Seven year intern program... is that just being an intern, or does that also include residency? Either/or what segment of time is that?

I'm trying to work out a timeline for placing flashbacks.

Not positive, but pretty sure to be doctor you need;

4 years college
4 years medical school
1 year internship
2-6 year residency (depending on practice area.)
Then you can take fellowships / etc. for another 1-5 years for added specialties

So excluding college you are looking at a 7 year minimum to be doctor.
