'Failure to Communicate'

One new 'House', and a brilliant one at that, and then nothing till February!! [heavy sigh]

Goodness knows, Stacy has not been a favourite of mine, no matter how much I like Sela Ward, but the last few eps she's done have connected with me. Tonight, I really felt a bit of what they must have had before the infarction. And House is different around her -- he's Greg, not House. I like getting to see the man under the 'jerk', if you get what I mean :)

There was so much I liked about this episode. Not sure if I can put my finger on it exactly. I think part of it was separating House from the Ducklings. We know he's brilliant, but tonight really brought that home for me. And him not being there gave a different look at the Ducklings too. And Wilson [sigh] I love him to death, but he's just a walking disaster when it comes to fidelity. I liked his line, "I didn't think the kids called you." [g] Oh, and House with his line about Cameron, that "their little girl was growing up" [snicker]

BTW, my House M.D. list is a year old tomorrow! and, there's actually some fic finally being posted on Histories. so if you've been looking for House fanfic, check it out!

Two things surprised me. One, when Stacy told him she had a fight with her husband House's first reaction was to reassure her and second, in the hotel room he did try to resist.

The person who really interests me in Cameron. She has so much empathy that she must do or give anything to ease other's pain. She became a doctor to relieve suffering and when her knowledge will not help she gives her love. She married a man who was dying so that he would not die alone and then fell in love with House because he was in misery. There is something Christ-like about her. Of course Christ was God and could take all the pain in the world upon himself and rise above it. I think that in her we are seeing the younger Greg House. One of three things will happen to her. She will suffer a breakdown. She will abandon the medical profession, at least the part that requires her to deal directly with patients. Or she will develope a coat of armor that would do a main battle tank proud.

Maybe one day we'll see what it was that pushed House into growing his armor.

House is an assh*le, but he's really not that kind of assh*le, no matter how much he'd like to think he is.
