24: Hours 1 & 2

Jack Bauer and the 'sunglasses of vengeance' -- how true!

Chloe's boy-toy is a bad guy. No, I don't know, I'm just saying.

Replace annoying Kim with annoying male Kim. Just what we were missing -- annoying teenaged character.

But I loved Michelle!

How did the baddies know that Jack was still alive? Or did they? That, I'm not clear on.

Not to expect any sort of reality, but I'd think Jack's alibi was pretty strong. Yes, I know, it's 24! I really shouldn't do this to myself.

They really need to screen close Presidential advisors more carefully.

What? Palmer couldn't have called CTU or the Law Enforcement/Intelligence Agency of your choice directly instead of attempting to confide in the slightly loopy First Lady?

Jack killing the assassin. This is why I love the guy.

Geraint doing his "Nick possessed by a demon voice" from 'Sons of Belial'. (but how I wish Peter Wingfield hadn't had to give up the part)

Nin hasn't seen it yet, so I'll be seeing it all over again tonight.

Kewl.

I doubt the assassin had any idea about Jack. He was just hired to kill a certain group of people: The ones who were close to Jack. Clearly the big baddie knows everything, and it will be interesting to see who knew what when.

As for jack's alibi.... duh, eating breakfast in Bakersfield, stealing a helo, and saving Chloe....

Clearly, after tonight, Jack will be "un"dead to everyone.

The bad guys had to know that Jack was alive. They were setting him up to take the fall for Palmer's murder. The real murderer knew that Jack was alive, he told Jack the he was being set up. Shooting him looked cool, but in the real world whould have been a giant mistake. He knew the details of the plot to set up Jack. He was the real shooter and HE WAS TALKING!

You are correct about Palmer. He could and should have called any one of a number of law enforcment agencies and tipped them to what he knew instead of calling the "reality challenged" first lady.

Daniel, okay. I wasn't sure if they thought Jack was dead, so he made the perfect patsy for the murder. I thought they knew he was alive, but wasn't positive. So you've cleared that up.

I've loved 24 from the beginning, but it does require a major suspension of disbelief to enjoy. Chloe's password has FOUR characters...and her coworker knows what it is???? No wonder CTU keeps getting infiltrated. That's pretty lousy security.
