I hear you. Until we moved in to "town" we could reasonably expect to lose power at the house for a few days at a time every winter.
Posted by: Ith at December 18, 2005 1:20 PMReminds me of the time I got together with a big gang to see Phantom Menace. Before the pod race, the fire alarm rang. We all went outside.
On the way back in, you had to get a special ticket for a free showing in the future, or a different one if you were seeing Phantom Menace. But most of us couldn't hear the announcer and had no clue.
The *second* time the alarm went off, I did get the PM version of the free showing ticket. They managed to fix the alarm system after that. It was defective. At that showing we missed about 10 minutes or so of the movie, and lost our good seats. But I got two free movies out of it.

Sorry about all that. I spent most of the past two days without power in my house.
