All But Forgotten

Spike TV runs three episodes ST:TNG every weekday, so I've been taking the opportunity to review the series. Some of these I haven't seen since they originally aired. They just started with season one, and while I remembered that a lot of it was dreadful, I'd forgotten how much pretentious twaddle littered the dialogue. It's like John Kerry was one of the script writers. Bleah! Can't wait to move past season one and on to the better seasons. Though, I'm sure the twaddle factor will still be high, just the memory of it blurred by too many years.

It began to get better in season 3 and became good season 4 through the end. You're right about the pretentious twaddle. I'm tempted to start a contest on my blog about the worst line of dialogue in the series. Maybe Riker's "We no longer enslave animals for food".

I LOVED Next gen during its hey day, but the characters sure could be holier than thou ( which is why Worf was my fav character) I appreciate more , series like Babylon 5 and Firefly where the charactors were real, flawed people.

st,tng was differents but it was many generation from the origional series but remember the episode RELICS where they brought SCOTTY back? and the epidode NIGHT TERRORS?
