I've already preordered as well. Two things. One, Sci-Fi showed the series in the weeks leading up to the film release as part of Universal's effort to promote Serenity. Tonight they started showing the episodes over again. This must mean that the show is getting good ratings. Two, I wonder how many people noticed that in the Battlestar Galactica mini series on Sci-Fi The Serenity made an appearance. In the first part of the first episode (before the Cylon attack) There is a scene inside a building in Capricia City. The camera looks out a wall of windows at the skyline with a large number of air/space craft flying by. One of them is the Serenity. Hasn't anything to do with the overall plot, I just thought it was a nice touch. Like the latest Honor Harrington novel by David Webber has a character in it named Dr. Janet Frazier.

Cool.

By the way there is a terrific book on Serenity which has essays by various authors. Here is the link to "Finding Serenity."

It has some good stuff for fans, including a point by point comparison of why the crew of Serenity would end up running the Federation if they ever swapped universes with their counterparts from Enterprise.

I give it a "thumb's up."

Anybody with a spine would wind up running the Federation if they found themselves dumped into it.
