I'm going to write something about last night's mid season ender of BSG (it's going to be a long time till Jan. and the end of the season!) but till then, Darleen has it more than covered.
I will say I found it incredibly disturbing, This isn't simplistic television.
Later: Jonah Goldberg's reaction.
And more later: Excellent post and comment thread here. At this rate, I may never write anything.

SciFi stops for a break when the big network shows start in the fall, then they come back for the end of theirr season in Jan. when all the big guys are in repeats. so we haven't seen the whole season yet of BSG, Stargate, or Atlantis.
Posted by: Ith at September 24, 2005 1:41 PMYes, it was good, and the husband was very upset at the ending. He wanted more and he wanted it now! ;)
The only thing that bugs the heck out of me is their continual overuse of the word "frack." Man, does that ever bug the hell out of me.
Posted by: Kathy at September 24, 2005 3:12 PMDare I say it "fracs you off"? :)
Posted by: Ith at September 24, 2005 3:22 PMwell I agree with Jonah : it was Frakkin' AWESOME.
Posted by: Sharon Ferguson at September 24, 2005 4:03 PMSharon! I assume this means you have power and stuff and no hurrucane damage?
Posted by: Ith at September 24, 2005 4:11 PMThe most disturbing thing about the ep to me was the stuff with Sharon. After the ep was over, I needed to head to bed but my sweetie wanted to watch more tv; unfortunately, as I was trying to sleep I suddenly heard a woman's panicked scream. End of sleep for me--and end of my sweetie's tv watching for the evening.
Thanks for the links, Ith--I'll go check them out!
Posted by: Lornkanaga at September 25, 2005 3:13 PMYeah, that's what disturbed me too.
Posted by: Ith at September 25, 2005 3:29 PMWow, Ith--excellent posts (and comments). Again, thanks!
Posted by: Lornkanaga at September 25, 2005 5:01 PMIt was a very thought-provoking episode. I think that the writers overdid it a bit with the Pegasus crew (are they all a**holes?), but it was quite interesting. Can't wait until January.
Posted by: docjim505 at September 26, 2005 8:15 AMPEGASUS was the flying horse that HURHULES RODE IN THE DISNEY CARTOON and it was the name of a star ship in a episode of STAR TREK TNG

Hey, thanks for the kudos.
Uh... midseason ending? What have I missed?
Are we going to get (finally) 3 more episodes?
