This is interesting. Even though Pres. Bush is "the most fit President in history", according to the official guidlines, he's overweight. What a crock these "obese" figures are! When will the government get a clue? Yeah, I know, silly question.

That's just stupid - I'm one of Ithy's right wing, Democrat friends and I have problems with the man, but please! He's nowhere near overweight! *Maybe* he might have a bit of a stomach that his clothes hide from public view, but I agree with Tina above - for him to be at weight or a bit underweight according to the *official weights*, he'd be much too skinny.
That'd be just what we need - an anorexic president.
What a crock.
At my height (6'8") I'd have to weigh between 169 and 227 to be "approved." That's not normal, that's emaciated. You'd think they were having malnourished vegans setting the standards.
Even at my fittest, when I was in my 20s and in the Army, I never weighed less than 240.
Fortunately, according to this, I can sue a variety of people.
Posted by: Russ at August 1, 2005 6:51 PMIt's not about health, it's about controlling people. For years, women have had to deal with the social pressure: "Don't be too fat, don't be too thin, be yourself, but fit in." HUH?!? And it worked so well, now the government is getting in on the gig and including men in the party as well.

I fiddled around with the numbers and for President Bush to be Government Approved, he would have to weigh in at under 180. Good grief, he would be a bean pole with his height.
Posted by: Tina at August 1, 2005 2:39 PMPersonally, I like him as is.
