DVD'oRama

We don't rent movies all that often, but today was that sort of day. We just finished Elektra, and the Aviator is up next. If we're still not sleepy, we can choose from Lemony Snickett, Bourne Identity, or National Treasure. They don't have to be back till Thursday midnight, so we have plenty of viewing time.

We went to the produce mart earlier, so a fresh fruit crumble is on the menu later tonight -- cherries, nectarines, peaches. I thought it seemd a nice combo.

Elektra was actually decent.

Lemony Snicket is really good, particularly the acting by the kids.

On the other hand, I just rented and tried to watch Christian's latest turkey, Alone in the Dark. It was awful, awful, awful. Trust me; do not rent this movie.

Next up is "Suspect Zero".

I was curious about your opinion of Electra. I enjoyed Daredevil and was intrigued by Electra's character. I also like Jennifer Garner, so it's worth a rent. I'll have to send dh out for it!

Jema, Elektra is worth the rental. Not sure I'd have wanted to pay 8.00 to see it.

Peter, Christian?

Have seen or will see all you listed. Really likes ELECTRA. LEMONY SNICKET covers the first three books of the series. I thought and still think, that Jim Cary is just a great character actor. His ability to "mold" into his character is nothing but genius. The makeup is really good. I agree with previous comments about the acting on the kifs part. The bonus stuff is realy neat.

As for the BOURNE IDENTITY, I've got them all. They are really great action films. I am a fan of the book. NATIONAL TREASURE, a great conspiracy theory movie. Loved it.

While I'm at it, I'm not much of an animated movie viewer, bet we just finished watching THE INCREDIBLES. It was VERY good. I especially liked going throu the Bonus Disc.

Enjoy them all. The AVIATIOR is my next up for viewing this week.

Hooah!!!

Oops, Christian Slater was the "star" of "Into the Dark", which was awful.

Slater has been turning out a series of "straight to video" dogs recently.

I'm thinking there may be a reason for that and for his recent arrest for public groping. Too bad, though, I liked him in Cuffs and Broken Arrow.
