It's like a chunk of the internet disappeared. I can't get to Yahoo mail, I can't get to quite a few blogs, or blogrolling, and everything else is slow.

Maybe our Yahoo mail accounts are on different servers. I can get to my My Yahoo page just fine.
Posted by: Ith at May 26, 2005 12:52 PMBut then again, I can't get to an insurance company's web page to verify eligibility on a patient... so yes, apparently a big chunk of the net is down. We are soooo spoiled....
Posted by: CrankyBeach at May 26, 2005 1:02 PMYour blog was "not there" when I checked at lunch my time, but East Coast blogs were visible. Who knows.
Posted by: The Thomas at May 26, 2005 1:21 PM(scrolls down) Now I noticed the hard drive failure.
Posted by: The Thomas at May 26, 2005 1:24 PMThomas, that was due to my hosting company losing a hard drive -- we were down all night and some of the morning. This (apparent) outage happened about 45minutes ago.
Posted by: Ith at May 26, 2005 1:24 PMheh!
Posted by: Ith at May 26, 2005 1:25 PMI blame Al Gore.
Posted by: William Teach at May 26, 2005 1:45 PMMaybe one of the connection points between east and west is down. Except that wouldn't explain why I can't get to the State of California website....
Posted by: CrankyBeach at May 26, 2005 2:32 PMI cannot get any mu.nu's now. It's like the beginning of Terminator III: Rise of the Machines. :)
Posted by: William Teach at May 26, 2005 2:45 PMMaybe we all need homing pigeons for when this happens. Imagine if we lost the internet for a few weeks instead of hours?

That's odd... I just tried Yahoo mail and got there no problem. But I can't get to Jewish World Review to read my favorite columnists. ::pout::
