In Sympathy

My sympathies to all my Roman Catholic readers on your loss today.

He was a great man in a way that the secular, celebrity-obsessed culture of the West can't grasp

Thank you, dear. We feel the loss of him, a courageous and able shepherd in a time of much darkness, but we are comforted in knowing he has gone to his reward and joined our Father in heaven.

I'm not Catholic, but my kids and husband are, but I am still feeling sadness in his passing. He was such a man of strong convictions, whether I believed the same way he did or not... he truly seemed to be a good person trying to make the world a better place.

He was such a constant... It is sad.
