Go, Cameron!

House was excellent tonight! And my girl, Cameron, she rocked! Good for her, giving him what for. If she keeps this up, I may become a dedicated Cameron/House shipper! [waves to Kathy] And what can I say about Chase? Here I was willing to at least give him the benefit of the doubt, but he's even more of a weasel than I thought he was.

Repeat next week. Bleah.

{Waves back to Ith}

She did rather well, I will admit. When she started in on him, the husband and I just gaped at each other. It seemed so out of character, but we were proud of her.

Chase is a weasel! That was kind of surprising, but I suppose if your Daddy got you the job in the first place, you have to be creative in your efforts to keep it.

I'm not pleased, either, that next week's is a rerun.

I feel like they've been setting up Chase to be the sleezy one that House would choose. I just never expected anything like that out of him.

I just love when House gets all thoughtful as he was at the end, musing over the implications of being disallowed from firing Chase. That was... surprising, coming from the big dude. I'd say he's out-Housing House at his own game of manipulating the people involved, rather than honestly caring what happens to Chase. It's become a game of manipulating House to him.

In that regard it was like a cliffhanger, and they're doing more with multi-episode continuity than they did initially. Which is not unusual for any series.

I was all about firing Chase. The bastard. He pushed all of my buttons last night. Of course, growing up looking exactly like that poor child on the show didn't help either....

One of the things I love the most about the show is the way that they take jabs at the things "everybody knows." Like when House told the fellow to smoke a cigarette every day to help with his bowel problems. Or like last night when they made it clear that obesity isn't always so simple as people like Chase make it out to be. I cheered when mom said "if diet and exercise are the treatment, then your diagnosis is wrong." I don't know why some people find it impossible to believe that one can eat as one is told to and exercise as one is told to and still be heavy. One of my big pet peeves. *resists temptation to hijack your thread with further ranting*

I've loved this show from the very beginning but they are beginning to test my patience with the big, bad chairman plotline. It is becoming less and less plausible (IMHO).

I like the character, and the actor has great presence, but you could be right. I am not sure I like the chairman thing. It's great as a monkeywrench to throw at House, but in the long run...?

Obviously something has to happen to make the dude come to an understanding about that unit specifically, and perhaps the hospital business generally. Or else the writers are going to try to make a point about how hospitals maybe *could* be run in a more efficient, business-like way, without killing of the golden unit that makes the show concept possible. I can't imagine that as readily as I can the former.

I think the chairman could be a great character and could add a lot to the story. I just think that it is so unrealistic to overstate his power. In the real world, a guy like House is a huge brand-enhancer to hospitals. He brings it prestige. That's why he's there. Not because he had a relationship with the administrator.

Plus, if House is so smart about people, why doesn't he see what his new found Mafia friend could do for him? Or give a little interview to Mike Wallace?

Waaaah! I was in bed all night Tuesday with food poisoning, and I missed House. And Television without Pity doesn't recap it! So someone, please, tell me what happened, because the promos made it look like it was going to be a dynamite episode and I'm super ticked off that I missed. Pretty please? I'd offer a link from my blog in thanks, but my readership is so small that it's not much enticement. Just say you'll have my eternal gratitude. :-)

My recapping skills suck, but I'll attempt to put something together...
