The People You Meet

As I mentioned before, Tuesday was our monthly Towhall Meetup. We actually had a whole 7 people show up this time -- a record! One of the new faces was a gentleman who teaches Nuclear Nonproliferation at MIIS. What he had to say was fascinating and we probably would have pestered him with questions for hours given half the chance!

His department has a great website that you might like to check out. And he tells us they have something new coming soon that's going to be pretty amazing. When it's up and running, I'll let you all know.

I was actually planning to go to a Townhall meetup last weeek, myself...but then this little "hurricane" thing got in the way of those plans. Well, maybe next time.

Thanks, Ruth...it's hard being the token Republican in the School of International Policy Studies, but it helps to meet other intelligent people on the Left Coast who don't think W. is an evil moron. But I still can't figure out what I did to qualify as a "gentleman." :-)

Dave, bad hurricane! Hope next month's comes off for you.

Fred, well you didn't do anything to not qualify as one :)

Ditto to what Ith said. Fred didn't put his elbow in the soup, nor did he park his black helicopter half on the curb, or anything ungentlemanly!

::evil grin::
