Sorry for the lack of bloggage. I'm just incredibly stressed over this moving thing. The owner told us after she looked the house over last weekend that she wanted us to stay in the house until she sold it. well, after the termite inspector came yesterday, she told us she wants us out by mid October!! So now, we have to really slam to try and get a house bought in Utah for my parents when we go up there this weekend. We were just going up to scout, now we need to try and find a house.

My first urge is to panic, but I'm trying to be caaaaalm. Part of the problem is the whole house buying mystery. See, my parents have never owned a home, so this is all new to all of us. Two, I'm afraid we won't have enought time. It's like a giant house of cards that i'm sure is going to collapse on top of us.

So if you would, keep some good thoughts for us this weekend and beginning of next week.

Yikes! Does that mean there are termites in the house, too...? Ick. :(
Well, good thoughts to you, and may a minimum of annoying songs assault your ears. :D

What part of Utah? Some friends just went to St George last weekend and bought a condo. Listed at $88M. Very easy buy, they will move in on the first. Their first home also. Lots to choose from and the market is popping like in CA, not as pricey though.

Jami, termites are a real problem in this area. We, and the owner, have known there were termites, but she never did anything about it. Now she has to have a lot of structural stuff done to repair the damage.

St. George/Cedar City. Though probably Cedar City since St. George is booming, they can get more fo their money in Cedar City.

This is so not my business and feel free to ignore this, but I've done the moving thing A LOT and is it possible for you all to find a place to rent for your parents instead of buying? A month to month or even a 6 month lease. It just really sucks to have to rush out to buy a house. There is so much to think about!

B, no not really. We have pets which made it almost impossible ten years ago to find a rental. Ten years later, it's even harder. Also, it would mean paying to move twice, sinking even more money into deposits, which if you find a place that will take pets, the average is $250-$500 per pet added to the deposit.
