My last day on the blog before the return of our most excellent hostess Ith... and I have FINALLY attracted some trolls! That must mean I'm doing something right!
Check out their comments on two of my posts: The one about needing a new word, and the one about pots and kettles. And feel free to join the fray.
Notice that they're both just a little bit hysterical in tone, and do not offer to debate the issues. That's fine... just remember the old adage: When you throw a rock into a pack of trolls, the one that yelps is the one that got hit!
Ahh, life is good. I just wub it. :)
And a big THANK YOU to Ith for letting me play in her sandbox!

Thank you, Angela! I've enjoyed myself....
And Ith has been threatening to set me up with my own blog for months now.....
::evil grin::
Posted by: CrankyBeach at August 26, 2004 9:22 PMI second Angela's comments. Good job! Don't go far! Ith can always use a good pinchhitter!
Posted by: cooper at August 27, 2004 7:41 AMDang! Miss stopping by for a couple of days and miss not only a guest blogger but the first troll experience.
What I love about the slime that go around whining Keeerrrrreeeee waaas ooonnnllleee repeating what he was toooollld is this:
The lying scumbag knew damned well that real atrocities, while they happened, were damned rare.
The lying scumbag was reporting what he was told by "veterans" many of whom were proven to have never spent one single day in uniform. He reported what he was told by "veterans", more of whom were proven to have never set foot in Southeast Asia.
The lying scumbag reported what "veterans", NOT ONE OF WHOM WAS WILLING TO TESTIFY UNDER OATH EVEN AFTER IMMUNITY WAS OFFERED, told him.
The lying scumbag hurt millions of honorable men and 58,000 families.
John Kerry is supposed to have been smart enough to have been an officer, meaning that he was supposed to have been smart enough that America's fathers and mothers trusted him with the lives of their sons. He didn't know these people were talking about things they had never done, in places they'd never been? I'm not buying it. In the forty years since I got that first funny haircut I've met a bunch of wannabe "veterans". They don't ring true. They don't talk right, they don't walk right. Phoney Viet Nam vets are even eisier to spot. Nobody ever phonies up a story about being a personell clerk at Pentagon East or a mechanic at the big air base at Da Nang, no, they're always Green Berets as if any of those sneaky petes went around calling themselves effing hats! I've seen hundreds of those phoney assholes and not one of them has those little round scars on their arms and legs from infected leech bites. Not one of them ever had the eye scan or the lingo down. Kerry knew.
John Kerry slimed the good names of some two and a half million Viet Nam Vets. He did it AFTER he'd run for office and lost as a Hee-row. He did it simply for political gain. He stood over 58,000 open graves and pissed on the bodies of young men (and a few women).
Now, thirty-three years later he has dug up those same bodies and is standing on them to convince punks like gopinaz that he is fit to be entrusted with the lives of this new generation of America's sons and daughters.
The Swifties are wrong. John Kerry is not unfit for command. It's more than that. John Kerry is not fit to speak the names of those men. He is not fit to carry a warrior's sweaty jockstrap.
Sorry for the rant. It's personal. Those lies were about me. Those lies were about friends.
Peter, no need to apologize for a most eloquent and heartfelt comment!
Thank you for joining the discussion... but even more importantly, thank you for your service to our country.
