But A Left Wing Slant Would Be Just Fine
One of the items discussed this week by the Peace Coalition of Monterey County was a proposal to switch the channels on the televisions at the Monterey Sports Center.The rules at the city-owned gym are that the six televisions are supposed to be tuned to sports or news. Apparently one is almost always set to the Fox News Channel, which tends to put a conservative spin on the news.
Peggy Olson told the peace group that Fox's slant makes it inappropriate for a city-owned facility. The Peace Coalition opted not to pursue the issue, but some in the group are talking about taking it up with the City Council.

Speaking of the next meet-up, if you folks want to meet me someplace where parking is free, you can then ride over with me to Cannery Row, because I now have the resident 2 hours' free parking sticker, and the Cannery Row garage is one of the eligible facilities, so y'all can save your 3 bucks. :)
