I have an email list discussion going on fave places in your state/province, and I thought it would be fun to bring it over here too. You can answer here or trackback with the answers on your own blog.
* What is your favourite place in the state you live in now?
* What is your favourite in a state you've lived in before?
My answers:

This is too tough since I've live in and been to a lot of places. We have parallel lives - I lived on Whidbey Island, WA twice when I was a kid. Weird! =)
My favorite place in the state where I live now - that's tough. I'd have to say Colonial Williamsburg, although if you're a Civil War buff, there's a lot of historical places here in northern Virginia (Bull Run, Manassas, etc.)
My favourite in a state you've lived in before - the White Mountains Region of New Hampshire.
I have to mention that the coolest place I've lived is Bury St. Edmunds, England, also when I was a child. I have very fond memories of our years there.
