Right Up Nin's Alley

Hey, Nin, think you can get in on this?

Oooooooo!

But, I should go!

Think of the great background colour I'd bring to the trip for all of the media types.

The young, fair, blue eyed, innocent, pure, cute-as-a-button (and-can-drink-you-under-the-table) girl and her love for single malt.

Wouldn't it make a great human interest angle to their tour?

Come on... Can I go? Can I? Huh? [majorly-big-even-huge-sparkly-anime-puppy-dog-

Maybe we can take up a collection :)

Have never tried the stuff, but I want to go too.

I loved my time in Scotland, but I cannot for the life of me understand the appeal of any kind of whisky. It tastes like I imagine paint thinner would; I just don't get it.

I'll just stick with beer. And wine. And rum. And vodka. And...um, where was I? ;-)

Roberta: You need to try it. Single Malt *good*! (So, when is your friend supposed to get you that single malt you said would be your first?)

And, since I've found I like tequila straight, single malt, and burbon straight, I decided to try rum neat.

It's quite good.

I am a pirate :) Arrrrrr! WENCH! More rum!

Ah yes...I have a fond, if very fuzzy, memory of a summer in DC filled with shots of Captain Morgan: I think the spice makes it a better rum to drink straight than, say, Bacardi, which conversely mixes better because its flavor is less complex.

And of course, how can you go wrong with a rum actually named for a real pirate? I'lll second that ARRRRRR!!!
