Put That In your Crock Pot

I was watching Neil Cavuto last night and he was interviewing Nancy Pelosi. You know what the top of my list is for stupid things politicians say? It goes something like this: "I'm supporting John Kerry because he will unite our country and heal our divisions." What a load of crap! Read my lips, Nancy, HE WILL NOT. It's impossible! If John Kerry is elected, nothing is going to change. Our disagreements and divisions will be all bright shiny new, ready to battle it out for the next four years.

Do politicians actually believe the platitudes they spew? Do they think we do? Does Nancy think that Sally in Iowa is watching her on the TV and telling her husband how that nice woman from CA thinks John Kerry will bring rainbows and unicorns to us all so we should vote for him?

Lord grant me patience!

Most politicians know that language about healing divides and bipartisan unity, etc., etc., are largely a nice-sounding line of crap. Nancy Pelosi, OTOH, is probably stupid enough to actually believe that.
