The Road To Hell

As disappointed as I've been with Stargate the last few eps, Angel has rocked! Last night's ep was excellent. It had that perfect mix of Joss banter and deadly seriousness. Finally, we get some news on what's up with all the Slayers that Willow's spell called last year, and Andrew made an appearance as Buffy's representative. Andrew has always cracked me up, and he sure did this time around too. I'm going to have to go back and listen to some of his scenes again since Nin and I were laughing so hard, I didn't hear some of it. The end of the ep was pretty heartbreaking when Andrew told Angel that Buffy didn't trust him anymore since he was working for Wolfram & Hart. I have to wonder if placing divisions amongst friends and allies is part of whatever the senior partners have planned. I don't think anything good is going to come of our heroes working for them no matter how gingerly they do it. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I think Angel needs that tattooed on his forehead!

Last night's episode was a definite improvement, and hey! we have an arc! (I know, we had one last week, but it bears happy repeatings!)

Andrew pulled one over on the MoG, too, although the hair was horrible.

So, is Lindsey good or evil?

Eve. Must. Die.

I'm wondering about Lindsey myself, Am I correct in remembering that when he left a few years back, he and Angel had buried the hatchet?

Yeah, she must! But she has to give me her wardrobe first! :)

Angel helped Lindsey in the Evil Hand ep, and Lindsey gave Angel some advice before he left town: you can't beat W&H playing by their rules.

What Lindsey didn't know was that Angel had stuck a sign on the back of Lindsey's pick-up truck that said "Cops Suck." (It was the Evil Hand ep)

Angel doesn't do forgiveness well, ref. Spike, Wes (pre-mind wipe.)

Sheesh, even Buffy sees that they've sold out! Angel has to be thinking about that.

And I love Stargate also (although they're only beginning Season 6 up here.)

Apparently RDA is in town for some Celebrity hockey games next weekend!

I've always thought the evil geek trio, now I guess a mono, was a great conceit. The money line last night, as usual, was Spike's. "So Andrew double crossed us?" "Mm-hm." "That's a good move." And the boy even showed some indigenous backbone in standing up to Angel with his tac squad. Prime.

Debbye, thanks for the refresh to my memory!

megapotmus, agreed :)

Damn. I have GOT to get my VCR set up to auto-record Angel, because I'm ALWAYS forgetting to watch it on the nights that I'm not out during that time slot.

*whimper* And I'll have to CATCH UP! Thank goodness for summer reruns.

Andrew makes me want to slap him until he speaks like a normal person. He's the most hilariously closeted guy.
Ah, but he's fun to watch.

It was a great ep, and I loved Spike's "He double crossed us? There's hope for the ponce yet." line. Wondering where this is going, because Joss is evil and almost never takes the obvious path...

I like Eve, or at least find her interesting

Somewhat off topic, Ith, but did you follow the series Jeremiah, which I think was on showtime...I dont get Showtime, but watched the pilot last night on dvd...seemed OK...I know its creator made Babylon 5 , which I loved....is it worth another 12 hours of my life to finish the other dvds, (which I borrowed)????

debbie, I watched the first few, but it didn't grab me. However, a friend of mine loved it. So that's not much help, I know :)

Same here, we were laughing so hard I think we missed some of the lines! The only missing from that episode was Lindsey! *G* Speaking of Lindsey, how come they couldn't put his hand back on like they did with Spike's? I particularly liked the ending, a gentle reminder that those two weren't always the big bad. We've been watching the season 2 DVDs which focus a lot on Darla and how she and Angel and Spike and Dru came to be. It was interesting that her name wasn't always Darla and how she couldn't even remember her real name.
I'll just shake my head about SG-1.

i also like the ep...spikes comment was classic spike, and why i have alsways liked his character...i hate eve, and am totally lost and confused as why lindsey is back and doing what he is doing...if they were gonna bring someoen back they should bring back faith...she has always been kick ass on angel.
