Disturbing, But Not Surprising

This article discusses the rapid increase in immigration -- both legal and iillegal -- over the last two years.

.... According to the report, California is projected to have more than 12 million foreign-born residents by 2010. Based on current estimates, California will have an additional 3.4 million new immigrants during this decade, as the tax-paying middle class is leaving the state for the first time in its history, the report states. "Whatever flimsy arguments the proponents of mass immigration were able to concoct during the illusory economic boom of the late 1990s about immigration serving some national interest, they have been utterly dispelled by the reality of the post-high-tech bust," Mr. Stein said. "Mass immigration has nothing whatsoever to do with the economic and social well-being of the United States or the American people," he said. "There is no longer even a fig leaf of national interest to cover the explicit agenda of those who promote mass immigration."

Youre right mass anti-merit immigration is very much against the national interest. Especially if the national interest includes the interest of the net taxpayer, upon whom these foreign acts of aggression are committed. If officials see balkanization as in the national interest, that could explain their enthusiasm for the alternative-welfare grabbing immigration of today.

Regarding the national interest and the betrayal of this by officials, through the immigration policies, isn't there a question of treason to it? Diverting the people's tax money to the foreigner, fits the definition of treason, as it may be strictly conceptualized. The foreigner living in a country where he is not a citizen, yet goes on to net public subsidy, is thereby accessory to treason, on this definition.
