Really?

So fans will buy you laptops? Nifty kewl! So where's mine? Well?

I don't think I'm in the laptop league -- more like the notepad and pencil league [g]

Yup, some bloggers just lap up attention.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! That was bad, really bad!

Just call me the Instapunner! You made a post, and I Instapunned it.

Hmmmmm, would you feel better if I sent you a pocket calculator, or something? ;-)

Posted by: Paul Jané at October 15, 2003 5:34 PM

Or maybe one of those cheap organizer things that wants to be a PDA when it grows up. The kind you get free for ordering a magazine subscription.

A mouse? I could afford to send you a cheap mouse.

Even better! I could send you a Liberty mousepad. I have a few left over that I didn't sell last year when I ordered 20 of them. Maybe I can find a picture...

Wow. I could use a laptop. But if you'd get a notepad and pencil, maybe someone would send me a used bic. ;>

E-mail me a mailing address and I'll send you one of these if you'd like. If you're not like so many people, who already have more pads than they can use.

I use a trackball :)

Posted by: Ith at October 16, 2003 12:01 PM

Doh! I thought you might say that. Guess it'll have to be Paul's calculator then.

IMHO trackballs are icky.

I'm left handed, so they're a godsend for me.

The truth comes out... Ith is a lefty!

On an unrelated note, as I type this, Hosting Matters is down completely. Again. At some length.

This is disturbing.

Posted by: Jay Solo at October 16, 2003 6:09 PM

Ah, so that's what's happening. I noticed a lot of the blogs I read I can't get to.

[knockwood] in the three years I've had the domain, my ISP has never been down.

Posted by: Ith at October 16, 2003 6:38 PM

That's why it bothered me so. They were down for like an hour just the other day, and down for like a whole day for half the sites they host earlier this year.

In my experience, web hosts going down is rare, and going down more than a few minutes is exceedingly rare.

See my comment in the next post on status, which Dean Esmay reported on.

Dammit, the Yanks just tied it up. I don't do sports and here I am with the TV on in the background in my office, so I'll know how it's going.
