Posting Just To Whine

Yesterday, the controlled burn at Ft. Ord got out of control. The smoke was awful and there's ash over everything. So yesterday I was wheezy and had a headache, and my eyes were stinging. Then I started to get a lot of pain in my left shoulder and arm in the evening, which got worse as the night/morning wore on. It finally began to ease up about 4am. So I'm tired, and grumpy, and it's hot today. So I went to my hair appointment, came home, head still hurts, and there's still smoke lying over us.

If I try to read, I know I'll fall asleep, so I'm sitting at the computer instead. Which is probably making my head hurt worse :)

See? Told you I was going to whine!

Poor Ith! At least you have something to whine about. Except being hot; can we trade? Hard freeze here last night.

Get someone to kiss it and make it all better.

Speaking of which, it appears that airfare to Fresno is a lot lower than I had assumed it was. Not that I can afford it for a while anyway, but who knows, maybe I will meet some of you sooner than I thought I would.

Well, it's not supposed to be hot here, so another reason to be grumpy :)

That's kewl, other than I don't live anywhere near Fresno [g] Or is it the first stop in a larger trip? Didn't realize you were planning on visiting CA.

I was telling a certain sexy-footed Jedi that if I had the money and time, I'd promise to come visit if she stayed smoke-free for some arbitrary length of time. Alas, no money and possibly no meaningful length of time off, or at least I can't assume I'd be able to, but who knows in a few months or six. That was what made me look at airfares, which are as little as half what I expected.

You aren't near, but close enough compared to a continent!

My previous "plan" (more like dream of questionable liklihood) was to drive all over the country someday, visiting bloggers in many states along the way. CA is one of the hottest spots for bloggers and other victims, so it would not be out of line to skip the rest and go right there.

There are people I would want to visit, that I can think of offhand, friends, relatives and bloggers, not counting the northeast and Canada (for instance, I can see Rob Sama, Geoffrey Allen, Chan Eddy, Mommabear, Jeff Soyer, Paul, Jim Schwab, and others extremely easily), in Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana I believe, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Montana, Washington, and California. It could be great fun!
