Mmmm & Hmmm

I had pizza (and hard cider) and it was good. Thinking of watching Dracula on Bravo at 7pm as it's a version I've not seen before. Well, it's something to do other than blogging. Yes, there are things besides blogging.

So Dracula? Anyone else going to watch it? I could do a DVD instead. Or finish my book. I could drink some more. Yeah, I can do that regardless. Margarita!

Oh, I did join the Sam 'n Rosie list. Figured, what the heck? I'm not quite resigned to spinsterhood just yet. Almost, but still a little space to go.

Yes, I'm nattering to no real end.

Who else is around this fine evening?

Hard cider is a spoonerism for one who cheats at poker, you know.

People are always amused when I refer to myself as a spinster.

Not sure I'd want to try something like a matchmaking group. In fact, last night Renee was harassing me about not having gone back to see Donut Girl lately. She finally asked "don't you want a girlfriend? I said "I'm really not sure I do just now!" That made her feel better about my... starts with a p... means putting things off... that's it, procrastination! I hate when I can't remember a word.

I say hard cider becuase most americans think apple juice if you just say cider. It's just like having to specify "hot" tea here.

The group is more social than strictly date getting. But I agree, I'm not sure I really want a boyfriend with all that entails. I've done the madly in love thing and all it got me was hurt. Don't really think I want to feel that way again :)

Ah, see in my neck of the woods, juice is juice, cider is cider, and hard cider has a nice kick. I've never known anyone to mistake apple juice and apple cider. That would be like mistaking grape juice and wine, so to make sure someone knows you mean wine, you then have to call wine vinegar. Weird.

I just feel like my life is too unsettled right now. But in general I wonder if having not had anything resembling a girlfriend in 18 years isn't a good indicator that I can manage just fine without one.

Just got finished watching Dracula, Bravo replayed it today.

I've seen it before, and it was just ok, but I love the costumes and scenery so I watch it every time.

Michele, I thought it was just okay too. But I loved the look of the movie. It was like a painting brought to life.

As far as Dracula movies go, the 1979 Dracula with Frank Langella is still one of my favourites.

Jay, I know what you mean!
