I Remember Dress Codes

When I was in fourth/fifth grade in Canada, I remember a strict dress code. Boys hair could only be a certain length, no writing on your shoes, skirts below the knee. I thought public school dress codes were a thing of the past.

Not sure what this means, though: forbids blouses to be folded over the beltline??

Tuck in your shirt, then pull it out enough to fold over and cover your belt. It's hard to get even and doesn't always look neat, but it's a way for us non-tuckers to both tuck and not tuck.
Now, of course, I just say screw it and don't tuck at all.

I'm not sure what the problem is - other than neatness, but I suppose they might think you could do something like hook a knife on your belt loops - or a cell phone/beeper on the inside of your pants/skirt and cover up the hook by doing this.
