Happy Day!

Jay Allen is creating a plug-in for MT what will deal with "Lolita" and all her ilk.

I got totally confuzzled at how it works, but I'm sure I can find someone who can explain it to technically deficient me :)

It's probably just a wrapper on what MT already does - block IPs.

The blacklist will take URLs as well (and then likely grab the IP attached to the URL).

He's got a user-friendly interface to allow you to see everything that MT already exposes about banning IPs in a more human manageable way.

The only thing that has me puzzled is the comment filter - there's no real info on what words are blocked, but that's not that difficult to code if that's what he's doing - blocking words.

This looks like a fabulous plug-in.

Bzzzzzzzzt. Thanks for playing... :-)

It has nothing whatsoever to do with IP addresses.

And have no fear, it is ridiculously easy to install and use. I'm a usability guy through and through... :-)
