Last Words

"I'm just going to the wedding, to the Wailing Wall and I'm coming right back home," she told friends.

The entire tragic story and a prayer from Huw are here.

I found this story too moving. I don't know - perhaps because I lived a lot in the Catskill Mtns and I can see everything described there...

The prayer I noted is the Mourners Kaddish, the traditional prayer that would be used at a memorial service in the Synagogue. It is an interesting response to death: to praise the Holy One.

Glory to God for all things.

Huw, I started crying last night as I was watching the video of the rescue workers trying to save thise little children yet again. Thanks for sharing the prayer because it was timely to how I was feeling.

What tragedy. Those stories really hit me hard.

Huw, the prayer is beautiful and very moving. And the faith it takes to pray it. That touches me as well.

Yes, Glory to God in the highest.
