Personally, I think this has more to do with the opposition not being able to stand the thought of a Black woman who's not "one of theirs" getting any farther than she has.

It's a tempest in a teapot, Ith. The Dems and Libs just cannot understand how a superbly educated, self-made black woman completely avoided the Plantation and has risen to such a high position in the Bush Administration. The Talking Heads and pols can scream and grumble all they want, but not too many people are listening. Or caring.
