Tomorrow he’ll be yesterday’s man
"Howard Dean, Democratic front-runner, is arrogant and thin-skinned, says Mark Steyn, and pretty soon he’ll be forgotten"

You know, my father, who lives in Vermont, considers Dean about the worst ever. Even worse than Dukakis. I wonder what he thinks of the degree of serious attention Dean has gotten.
Posted by: Jay Solo at July 3, 2003 1:36 PMThis was a very interesting article, thanks. I think I was actually more interested by the whole Ben and Jerry's reference than anything else though, funny how they never mention on the tour that they are owned by Unilever now. And those cartons made from recycled paper are a fairly big point in the tour, that and something about the cows milk that they use, which is probably the whole dioxin controversy. I guess the quirkyness in me is always fascinated when hippies grow up to be their parents. For those taking me seriously, don't. I do have one naysay though, I would have preferred that the author of the article hadn't tried so hard to be witty. Maybe it's a side effect of the whole back stabbing/smiley face discussion you (Ithy) and I have been having about people, but I'm so sick of people who seem to feel the need to mock and ridicule. I find an argument to be much more persuasive when it isn't written in the dirt.
Howard Dean - yes, I am probably your own reader/friend who has looked into this guy and is brave enough to say it. I feel like I need t post my Republican resume before making that statement *G* Seriously, (yes, really) the whole Liberia issue, please, make your mind up Howard, ya can't have it both ways. No matter that I think that it would have been in Bush's favor had he just said, "Look, Saddam is a virus that needs to be wiped off the face of this earth, WMD or not." He didn't, maybe he did twist things about, I'm not sure yet. But, take a stand, Howard, either you are for helping people out and trying to protect them or you aren't. I hope at least some of that made sense, as I should be in bed now. My apologies if it didn't.
